birds of prey

sit in cages outside the Anniston Museum of Natural History. these birds were brought to the sanctuary wing of the museum to heal & to be released, if they recover enough to fly.  i had a staring contest with all of them.  i lost. 

your high & mighty owls

These owls are in a temporary sanctuary. Injured birds are brought here to be healed & then released. I don’t know the species of owl, but they appear to have their right eyebrow raised high. Looking at me as though I am far beneath them, both in height (true) & in intelligence (questionable)

Every picture tells a story

This is an iphone picture I took of my son & Hobbes. Hobbes was watching the sharpie go across his paper, marking the marker with his scent, when H. stopped moving it. I think Hobbes loved the marker buzz he was getting from the fumes 🙂 Also, check out my son’s art. Owl picture from…
