yesterday’s pick

The weather called for hail, high wind & a pounding rain. I wasn’t going to let these flowers endure that kind of punishment. Better they get put into vases to make my house more beautiful.

best time to take photographs…

is between the raindrops. Overcast days, when the sky is silver, act as a natural light diffuser. Shooting after the rain gives everything a bit more life. These were taken yesterday. My gardens. ~amy

but i did it anyway. I had a family photo shoot at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens today. When I finished…this sight stopped me in my tracks. The orange poppies were absolutely stunning & now they’re mine.
