Way to little light to hold camera steady, but I love the picture anyway

She’s smirking & pulling on her dress as though she’s intending to tell a fib. “Oh, no, it wasn’t me that done that! Y’all gotta believe me, the person that done that was Billy Bob, I didn’t do nothing.” This statue has stood in the same place for about fifty years. She is forever 3 years old. She resides in Alabama, quite possibly made there. Any statue that the sun doesn’t touch, grows mold. Giving away her true age.

It took four woman working for a year to get this book finished in time for the 125 anniversary of Temple Emanu-El. Robin made sure we were on the same page, Cantor Roskin practically lived at my parents house working on the Hebrew. And I painted & painted 30 8x10s. My mother put it all together with her talents in graphic design. This prayerbook will be held in my grandchildren’s hands. Something to pass on.
