Words that touched me…

I had a wonderful time retyping them using my photography & picking the fonts. Life isn’t ever simple & no one is as they appear. We all have garbage we would like to bury.  Believing this helps us get through all our useless sandpaper sanders…

tin foil & sharpie Hamsa

This hamsa was cut from matt board, painted with acrylic, then I cut out tinfoil after coloring it. The star was cut out using a cookie cutter. I added the “diamonds” with glue. For the wire to hang…I beaded the string leaving quite a bit empty so that I could twist together, then bead into…

Where I find the coolest vases…for cheap!

I find the most amazing vases–at Homegoods or T.J. Maxx. But you do not find them among the vases, you find them with the oils with the sticks…forget what they call that. After the oil disappears, I rinse & then run the glass, the oil came in, in the dishwasher. You cannot find vases like…

old memories…

My son, at two years of age, swimming in Lake Logan Martin, Pell City. My husband took both my toddlers in the water, in the middle of the lake, from my father’s sail boat. I can tell you all those movies with creatures eating people was fresh in my mine. I cannot believe I was…

saved evidence

if you don’t send them to camp…this is evidence of my daughter & I, playing. the photo was taken about 9 years ago. I have been informed that I don’t do anything with my children. I love when I am able to come up with examples of me doing exactly that. Summer vacation is very…

I have three children much older then these, but I remember what it was like…

Bistro Two-Eighteen

Uncle Tom Saab. I didn’t know that when I married into this family, that one of my new brother’s Michael Saab blew fire or that one of my new Uncles would cook so unbelievably, yummy food. Actually, the whole family rocks in their own way & I love them all.

The Magnolia Blossom

This blossom is as big as a dinner plate. I have lived in Birmingham, Alabama for 20 years, this year. This is the very first time I’ve seen a blossom this close. Usually they are thirty feet in the air. A blossom lasts a few days & then turn the color of dirty gym socks….

Our Good Deed

We fostered a Siberian Husky before.  She stayed, you may have seen photographs of her.  This time we are fostering a male.  He has heart worm so badly, they called it double heart worm. His weight is 35 when it should be closer to 65 or 70lb.   He is bones are covered in fur….
