DIY sculpture of a horse

A few summers ago, I bought all three of my children these wooden puzzles at Michaels. It was summer vacation & i thought it would be fun for them. It didn’t take more than thirty minutes for them to finish. This horse has been sitting in my daughter’s bedroom ever since. I asked her if…

bunny footprints?

Did this bunny stop in its tracks to scratch its ear & happened to look into Medusa’s eyes? No :). The footprints belong to a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel perfectly placed & with great luck, I caught the path she left behind.

a quill & a rose

While walking around the lake, a few weeks ago, I found the feathered remains of a wild turkey. Nothing left but feathers, must have been a fox that killed it.  I took the feathers home & sprayed them outside with Lysol & let them dry in the sun. I chose my favorite one & cut…

my happy place

The black, behind the hammock, is the creek that borders our backyard. Behind my hammock are my four raised beds. When I swing here, I hear the water moving over the rocks. I feel the breeze, gentle as a kiss, moving over me. & if Hobbes, my cat, is outside, he jumps onto the hammock….

the cat covered in husky fur

My cat, Ivy, loves when I brush Nala (my husky). Ivy rolls in the balls of fur that fly off the brush. Ivy ends up looking really silly. Although, here, she looks a bit offended to have been caught on the camera. iPhone picture

go fly a kite

I think Nala loved the kites. She kept watching them. I love when I can see the black fur under her nose. It looks like black lipstick. There be Dragons. A fish takes flight. & an old plane takes flight…a little.

the husky with too much blush

Nala loves going to Saab Lake. On our first walk, she found…God only knows what, to rub her face into. Huskies really don’t like water much, usually. Nala LOVES it. She went swimming & fishing. She caught a stick that she thought was a fish.
