the most beautiful Koi of all, comes to my hand. the koi were not interested in eating. the owner of Myers said that they were in a semi-hibernation state. Alabama felt the effects of the Polar Vortex last week. It was in the teens during the day, but Wed. the temps began to rise. This water hasn’t caught up with the air temp as of yet- yesterday. this water was freezing cold, but the Alabama air was 65 degrees. Heaven for January 12the owner said the koi were so friendly that they would come & visit. some may try to eat your hand, but it tickled like crazy. best day ever!my son worked up the courage to stick his hand in the ice cold water

These photos are lovely and bring back good memories for me…when we were in China to adopt our son we would go feed the koi after breakfast each morning. They would swarm to the surface and feed on bread from our hands that we’d smuggled from the breakfast table! Thanks for sharing! I’m enjoying your blog.
