Time to say goodbye to our table guests

Time to say goodbye to our table guests

I will miss my treasures found at Elizabeth’s Antiques for 8 bucks (pun intended) a piece. I wish I could keep them out all year long.
It’s not like the poor Christmas trees I see on the curbs, The tree that had brought such joy, it had been something special & beautiful to decorate, admire & love… that then it gets tossed out on its ass.
Reindeer live all year long. But they would no longer be special. The reindeer would become the mundane, something the eye skims over seeing only the dust (if you are the cleaner of said dust) & I would regret not shoving them into a box, & piled in the attic. That magical place where we forget what we spent all our money on. Yes, next year they shall pulled out of a box, unwrapped from its tissue paper (if I can find the effort) & our reindeer shall grace our dinner table once again. Or maybe they will melt & I will have to go spend money on the soon-to-be-forgotten holiday crap again. Wee, I love circling the sun.
