This most impressive tree was growing beside a sidewalk, then through the sidewalk, slowly rising out of it like a horror movie, but in very slow motion. The tree was hanging over a parking lot. An old & striking sight hanging over the modern & mundane. I cropped out the mundane, you can see it when you go to the grocery store.

This is impressive! Most of the moss I’ve seen around here are those that are stuck on the ground. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, I never saw any on the ground while I was there. But maybe I don’t know what it looks like. This was on a very busy road…It does look like some is hanging out of a pot, did you notice that?

I LOVED it!! My poor husband got dragged around hearing, “OMG, look at that, hold on, I want to take a picture” over & over. I’m quite surprised I’m not buried there.

i do miss seeing those. When I lived in Florida, they were everywhere, and now here in Indiana, there are none. I always thought they look so mysterious

We don’t have them in Birmingham, Alabama, but if we head south on I-65 toward the coast, they start appearing after Montgomery.

Yes, that seems to be the area they start appearing. I have been told they are made by the air, and what it collects and clings to the trees
