late bloomer

this hydrangea stops blooming around July. in the last few years it has given us a blossom or two around the first of October. I like these surprises a little more because they feel like a gift.

my backyard creek

reflecting color from everywhere. stunning. There are fish in it too. We watched them swim & in some places, the water is two & a half feet deep. The creek changed shape with the crazy down pours & flash flooding early this summer, changed it so that we have a bit of a natural pool.
