I am so grateful for my Hot Potato Award given to me by jmgoyder, who’s posts I read daily. She is an amazing writer, she has a way of making me feel that she is only writing to me. Thank you for the Potato!!!
While David was off to war, his younger brother finished what David had started

David started closing in the screened in porch for an office. This picture was taken on our son’s 1st birthday party, that he missed. My family & his family, for him.
I’ve got to admit the photographer in me prevented me from helping either my dog or my son.

Great shot though. Blue was the only one who got hurt, but he did start it. He was trying to get the dogs out of his territory. The boy with the funky hat owns the two labs.
The bluest blue I’ve ever seen. I want two for my front door like gem stones

But then I’d just have empty pots. Everything I put by the front door. One side thrives, the other side dies. I feel like some wicked monster, “yes, those plants are getting more sun. Yes, thats why they thrive. Yes, that is why you are sickly” Oy, the guilt, so I went old school & I put two fire engine red geraniums in the two pots. Both are thriving in equal measure. I have happy plants. It’s a good thing I couldn’t get these bluest blue pots, they’d clash with everything. Except yellow & orange & green…

He was famous in his day, had money in his day, until the Great Depression. Art is the first thing to go. So in that, he & I are alike.
My daughter, I believe picked up his talent for things small.
I forgot to include in the b&w posts, this father & daughter

That is my daughter, see? We look exactly alike!
They are bookends, they are safety in numbers, they are family

To have these amazingly sweet, furry teddy bears love you beyond measure, is to know true love. The gray & white was a rescue. The pound got her & her brother & both had one week to live. But the people who work at the pound know breeds, if there is a rescue for the breed, they call. Alabama Siberian Rescue put Nala on facebook & I filled out the foster form. She was with us two weeks & we were told that I have to put information & photograph her for Facebook. So that she may find her forever home. But her last name was Saab? She fit our family like a glove. She lives in my studio while I work. Sleeps in my room at night.
The big white dog, Blue was a departing gift for me while he was to be deployed. He was there so I had someone to protect me, love me, let me hold him. They are our bookends & they hold us together. Before you look for a special breed, please check to see if the breed you like has any homeless rescues that you can love.
Two weeks, I am going back into doing art classes at my home studio. Except instead of 10 kids

at a time, I’m going to one to two at a time. We have changed my art studio so I have my own space. The change recharged my energy level up. I like this one flyer for one & wish I could go to hers, but I need something a little bit more me. I’m offering age 5 to 80 wish me luck!!! I had a very big door close on me & maybe a smaller one will open.
More pink, it is a happy color, but after a while it can be a little to sugary

quick! I need a potato chip!
Amy, if you dislike Orchids so much, why do you photograph them?

Because they only look like this at the place that sells them, even Publix can keep them beautiful & they have NO humidity…maybe they are allergic to dogs or cats
