Although this is no fern, I believe it is a tropical leaf of some kind. I just thought a nice title would draw attention, then I could say sorry for the lie. Gosh, I’m in a mood today!
why would an oak leaf act like a maple leaf?
Usually oak trees leaves are a dog-poo brown. They either stick to the tree until spring when the green leaves appear or they fall on the grown in a hideous ground cover color, although great for hiding the fact you are too lazy to pick up… anyway, this leaf must have been green & gone…

i don’t know what kind of tree this is. it hides in the woods. i couldn’t find one in the summer if you paid me to. when all the leaves have fallen, this tree decides to shine. When it rains is when it glows the brightest. it is as though it’s trying out to shine…
