Some of downtown Birmingham’s buildings shine, even though time should have dulled them. It’s because the details stand out. I never liked roses much, until I turned 40. Now I can’t get enough of them. So I’ve bought & planted quite a few this year. I heard they are hard to grow. Well, then I’ll treat them like everyone else & if they die, that was their choice.
