My father in law calls his 44 acre stocked lake a pond. I define a pond as a small dirty body of water that are usually dug for horses. I forgot that he called it “the Pond”. So when he opened it ( he’s said, The Lake is my happy place”) I got so worried that he thought I was pushing the definition of his pond. His sister pulled a 18# big mouth Bass out of his pond a couple of weeks ago.
How much? I turn over the glass 12.55. But you know the artist deserves it & I know that if people that have money to burn, buy these so he can cover cost of kiln, glass, time. 12.55 is a bargain, I will buy two for my husband & wrap them. I can’t type today, sick as dog for two days. 😦 I miss blogging!
There is something about orange. It used to remind me of the 60 or the 70. David I know you never, ever read this, but maybe someone will let you know “give your beautiful wife a great gift just because day”
just a wee lecture today. People say they don’t like spitting out the black seeds. Scientists, geneticist, farmers mess around with the seed until they have created (believe they have corrected God’s Watermelon) I remember eating the sweetest Juiciest watermelons when I was a kid.
So don’t like the seeds? You can have those pale, tasteless things they should name the “Nothing going on here Melon” Any one around Birmingham still grow black seed & sweet flavor?

To all the other Father’s remember when your son or daughter wants to kiss you on the lips, & you think they are too big for that, remember that may be the last time in his/her whole life he kisses you with his/her whole life. Hold onto all the squeezy loving stuff because it goes by in a flash. You put a barrier up, up he will grow & greet you with a hand shake. Always remember fathers, if you stop your daughters from hugging you, it hurts their hearts a life time. Happy Father’s day from me. Children whose father’s stopped your hugs & kisses too soon, love ’em anyway, They are doing what they learned.
