Somethings are artwork

I love this shot. I took it in a neighborhood that was known for its poverty.
Bright red geraniums hanging from hooks, birdhouses painted by hand in bright colors. The renters of this apartment attempt to cover the unpainted wood of the rotting balcony. Wood that looks fragile enough to give way to a heavy snow. It is covered with beautiful things to draw the eye upward, so those who notice can see the work of art. Click.

This is how to capture happy. I’m done for the day. May it reach your overwhelmed heart

This is on a bridge in Montpelier. You know, I love LOVE. The more I see it the more I hope it will overtake its mortal enemy Hate & crush the @^*#ing Hell out of it.

I love the font used on this advertising tin sign-its very art deco

Way to little light to hold camera steady, but I love the picture anyway

She’s smirking & pulling on her dress as though she’s intending to tell a fib. “Oh, no, it wasn’t me that done that! Y’all gotta believe me, the person that done that was Billy Bob, I didn’t do nothing.” This statue has stood in the same place for about fifty years. She is forever 3 years old. She resides in Alabama, quite possibly made there. Any statue that the sun doesn’t touch, grows mold. Giving away her true age.

It took four woman working for a year to get this book finished in time for the 125 anniversary of Temple Emanu-El. Robin made sure we were on the same page, Cantor Roskin practically lived at my parents house working on the Hebrew. And I painted & painted 30 8x10s. My mother put it all together with her talents in graphic design. This prayerbook will be held in my grandchildren’s hands. Something to pass on. If you wish to purchase the book, you have to contact Marianne @ Temple Emanu-El Birmingham, Al. Cool beans, Huh?
