this class is so much fun because of the age differences–2nd-6th graders. this is the frog on bamboo art collage we’ve been working on for about three weeks. it is a mix of scrapbook paper, acrylic paint, watercolor & nail polish. we love to mix things up.
today, we started making droids in honor of Star Wars…paper mache (?) over balloons. Except for A. because she is a girl & wants to make something cool to hang up & put things into
I like the third one down, that’s how I would do it. This technique was incorporated in my next painting.

Hi Mike, are you referring to the horizontal one w/the overgrown bamboo? if so, I’ll make sure that fearless girl knows you said so! ~amy

They are very clever & so trusting. The younger ones have no idea what they end result will be, but have faith i know what i’m talking about. i just wish my own children did. ~amy

i’ve been teaching art to children since 2005–i think i’ve learned FAR more then they have. I have a photography student who teaches me stuff on my laptop Mac all the time. AND THEY PAY ME?! Thanks for the comment! ~amy

WOW, i thank you so much for that! Even though you are not a mom, i left instructions on the how to, if you need to reach deep down to find your own inner child. 🙂 ~amy
