I love looking at flowers closely, I always see something new. I’ve never seen the lines on the center of the hydrangea before. Thank you!

That hydrangea was the most amazingly beautiful one i’d ever seen. I planted it in a bed, the following year the blooms came in a totally different color, i was disappointed. However, i am glad i photographed it the first time. ~amy

I know they can change color based on the nutrients in the soil, fertilizing can change the color. It is a beautiful photo!

Yes, hydrangea can change color due to soil & i added the stuff (forgot name) of the stuff that changed them to blue & the results? They’ve not flowered in two years. ~amy

Frustrating! I don’t have hydrangea but saw this: http://www.hydrangeashydrangeas.com/wont_bloom.html You may just be in the wrong zone. I have a fickle peony that doesn’t always bloom- they need to be planted at the correct depth to bloom! I focus on my iris- much easier:)

Do you think it could be that?! This is the only hydrangea i’ve planted in good soil. Alabama is red clay, gosh i hate red clay. Maybe, this hydrangea likes it. Bad taste is has, i think! Thank you for your help! ~amy
