because we can try to make these! These were made by my amazingly gifted & fun mother. She made these to place on top of her handmade origami boxes that she sells…it looks like she used stamps, the pasta maker(makes clay super skinny to roll up & make beads or buttons) to make the black&white ones & metallic paint.
i’d love to make a few (hundred) and place them in a shadow box, because each one my mother created is a work of art.

I would love to sit beside her & make something, but usually she is helping my kids make special things, or giving her special things away. Perhaps i should leave them home? But both my mother & i are difficult to get either one of us to leave our own studios. Perhaps a tow truck would be needed to get us to work together. Someday! Hi Reggie! She made these to cover her boxes. She made so many, but she has stopped or slowed down with boxes, so this collection just sits inside a box. I had to show them off. I want to make these with my art kids, i was thinking the girls could make necklaces…i’ve yet to come up with an idea for boys yet, can you think of something?! ~amy

Hi Julie! Thank you, on behalf of my mom. I love these buttons. I want to make some & have some of my art kids make them as well. My art kids cannot make the boxes, so i have to figure out what purpose they would use theirs for…for girls, maybe necklaces?! ~amy
