I love thistles – their purple colour, their proud, tough and determined form, their extremes of soft and spiky textures. Thistles are synonymous with Scotland aren’t they … a lovely family story, Amy 🙂
Thank you, Peggy. I was so excited to find a local nursery that had a few in stock. I love the contradictions of this tough little flower. The stem & leaves are so sharp, but when it flowers…the blossoms remind me of muppets. ~amy
