The girls are doing an easy & fun project because the last one they did took almost two months. The elephants will be cut out & put on black card stock. You can see my daughters on the black paper, in the first picture
A woman commissioned it for her husband-Anniversary gift.

I used to ride on the back of my Dad’s motorcycle when I was a kid. I would ride in my Poppy’s side car all over Hartford, Conn. I’ve not been on a bike in 35 years, since becoming mortal. I always thought motorcycles were a form of art. My first attempt at painting one, I used only black. I thought I would add silver later for the chrome. The eye plays tricks, even to the one who’s painting it. The silver chrome was there, because it should be, my brain put it there, not my brush. I only used black watercolor. The second was fun, the only color, the orange blinkers. The last one, an old bike on fire. All three of these paintings are painted in watercolor. Water flows like sunlight over chrome. I love the distorted reflections. I love that Sir Isaac Newton discovered that light bends, while he studied Optics. To paint a motorcycle is to see light bend & watch water flow.
