She amazes me everyday. She is going to Junior High next year. I made this for our family members who couldn’t attend.

Fruits that we have, strawberries, blueberries, grapes, peaches & lemons.
Veggies we are growing, onion, yellow squash, zucchini, sweet red pepper, yellow pepper, banana pepper, sugar snap peas, cherry tomatoes, plum tomatoes, big tomatoes (a million)
Herbs, yellow thyme, basil, oregano, sage, rosemary
I’ve had my strawberries for five years & have never been able to eat one because some little cute brown bunny with its white tush, would get it first. This year, the very second I notice a bit of red, I bring ‘em in & ripen them on the dinner table along with store bought fruit.
One ripened to its fullest, so with a napkin to wipe the red juice as it ran down my chin, I’ve gotta tell you, it was worth the wait. Because, bottom line, I HATE strawberries, except for my own.

Levon likes his money, he makes a lot they say. Spends his days countin’ in a garage by the motorway.-Sir Elton John.
My favorite song still, & can you imagine how many songs have come & gone through my life? Some stuck, none better then this one though. He wrote that before I was born, that song has some sticking power. I used to listen to it on my parent’s record player so loud the house shook & I would sing along with him. I’ll bet he didn’t know that song, to me, is a duet.

I had four plants last year, planting two per big pot. In the fall I found a plastic black bucket (maybe a big bush came in?) and stuffed those four geraniums in that one bucket & put it on the back deck up against the house. Never covered it during a frost. Never thought much about it. Until this spring when it started to grow. After David finished the raised beds I tore apart, rather savagely, these four geraniums.
They are the happiest flowers I’ve ever had.
The classics rock.

They look just like tiny lilies packed tightly together. I thought they looked better inside. Right now all our Azalea’s flowers turned into brown paper bags caught in the rain & landed on our bushes. I question why they are so popular in the Deep South. They flower 1 week out of 52. The rest of the time…blah.

So sweet. I brought my cellphone, with a pic of these flowers,to Leaf & Petal to ask anyone if they knew what the flower was called. Gerber Daisy? Two say. No, the flower is soft like a daisy, but smaller…
The guy who would know just went to lunch. Go see if you can find something like it. She points to the Perennials, a place I cannot walk away from without handfuls of flowers. I got a call. A PAINTING commission-black lab puppy:). The man went to get a tray to carry my flowers & I see the leaves of my purple cuties, except the flower is yellow/yellow (like someone dipped him in yellow paint) It’s non latin name is African Daisy. The man who knows everything was back from lunch, took a nanosecond to look at my phone & told me what it was & said they only get the purple in the spring. Sorry.
A name!! I can order more!

Which is why there are black at the edges. I figured out how to make red look natural. I have spent a lot of time dumping red flowers because I couldn’t make them look real. I guess I would figure it out on my own red roses. Ok, so I reduced saturation by almost 50% it was starting to turn black & white, then I upped the warm…a few other bells & whistles & I got this.
